Scoring early in the game, holding the lead only to concede an equalizer in the last minute, was a bit of a disappointment.
First Half
The Torpedoes played well, especially in the first half. Billy and Seb combined to create a chance for Josh to strike a shot against the bar, five minutes later Josh opened the scoring, finishing off a move with a shot in off the post. As usual more chances were made but none converted. One nil up was never going to be enough.
Second Half
A second half chance for Adriano was somehow kept out, Michael had a shot destined for the bottom corner only for the keeper to get fingertips on it to push it wide. The boys should have been further ahead, but with only one goal in it Sandhurst still believed they could get something from the game, and to their credit they never gave up. The nearer to the final whistle it got, the now traditional panic set in. Sandhurst pushed forward and scored direct from a free kick. Even then the Torpedoes nearly stole a victory as a last second corner was headed against the post.
